Avocado (Persea Americana) is a tropical fruit from the Lauraceae family. it has origin in Mexico and South America. There are many varieties such as, Margarida, Fortuna and Breda; each one differing a lot in shape, size and flavor. Because of this large number of varieties it is possible to find avocado all year round in Brazil.
Avocado is considered a superfood because is rich in good fat and nutrients like vitamins A, B and E, besides that helps eliminate the bad cholesterol.
