Lychee (litchi chinesis.sp) is a tropical fruit the from the "Sapindaceae" family. It has its origin in China and other countries of southeast Asia. There are three varieties: Bengal, Brewter and Americana. The most popular for trade is Bengal. It’s flavor can be sweet or acid, depending on the variety.
Lychee is rich in nutrients like vitamins C and complex B also rich in iron and potassium. Lychee protects against heart disease, prevents liver disease and control blood glucose.
