Guava is a tropical fruit from the Myrtaceae family. It has its origin in Brazil, Mexico and other countries in Latin America. Among hundreds of varieties, in Brazil, guavas (Psidium guajava) can have red or white flesh and green or yellow skin.
Guava is rich in nutrients such as iron and vitamins A, B and C and can help with digestion because it is rich in fibers. It also improves the immune system, as it contains lycopene.
