About

Atemoya is an exotic fruit from the Annona family, natively from the tropical regions of Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. It is a hybrid fruit which is a crossover between cherimoya and sweetsop. Fruits typically weigh between 200g up to 1Kg per piece. With a creamy withe flesh, Atemoya is a very sweet fruit (Brix level can be as high as 25º) and is commonly served as a desert. There are two main varieties in Brazil: Thompson and Gefner, the first having a better shelf life than the latter.
